New evidence has been released that eating seafood is healthy! Here is some hot scientific news for you: according to Professor Alfred Halstensen from the University of Bergen in Norway, eating white fish is good for you because it contains marine fatty acids like omega 3, proteins, minerals, selenium and vitamins A, B and D. Eating cod and haddock should improve blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels in the body.

We at The Fish Factory always like to go that little bit further so recently we sent one of our Executive Chefs from The Fish Factory, Stuart Slevin on a little holiday to the Isle of Lewis in Scotland hunting for mussels to show you exactly where we get them from.
Miavaig Bay Mussels is a family run business passed on from father to son and and they catch around 80,000 tons of mussels per year. We have been informed that they are soon going to be looking into diving for scallops and will keep us informed if they find any!
