Fire Safety Awareness Training held at Food restaurant.
At Proto Restaurant Group, award winning restaurants in Worthing and Littlehampton, West Sussex, we take staff training very seriously. We invest in our staff by keeping them at the top of their game, which in turn ensures that all our restaurants constantly deliver exceptional service to you, our customers.
On Tuesday 24 February we teamed up with Elite Fire Ltd. to hold our annual fire safety awareness training at Food restaurant in Worthing for all our staff. The aim of the fire safety awareness training is to be more engaging, to make our staff more fire-aware, to realise just how readily and how fast fires develop and why the safeguards are provided. By using this approach, all our staff are more prepared and capable, as well as modifying their behaviours far more effectively in the unlikely event of a fire in our restaurants. Therefore, we feel at Proto Restaurant Group that fire awareness training is paramount in our training.

Our Basic Fire Safety Awareness Training provided by Elite Fire Ltd. provides all our staff with all the basic skills and knowledge required in the event of a fire which includes:
- What action to take on discovering a fire
- How to raise the alarm
- What to do when hearing a fire alarm
- Who’s responsible for calling the emergency services
- The location of extinguishers and escape routes
- Dealing with disabled persons and evacuation procedures
