We were contacted by Worthing hospital informing us they were participating in the global Nutrition and Hydration Week (16 March to 20 March 2015). As part of this week the dietitians at the hospital held a tea party for their patients.
Where we came in…we were asked if we would be willing to donate something to contribute to the tea party. We donated cheesecakes, lemon meringue cakes and rose water and almond biscuits…all made by our talented chefs of course!
Sara from Western Sussex Hospitals who contacted us said “It was a great day and the patients loved the cakes, thank you”.
At Proto Restaurant Group we are always happy to help and support our local community where we can and this is just one of the many things we are able to do to pledge our support to help raise awareness of the importance of nutrition and hydration as an essential element of care…and our chefs just love making cakes of course!
Nutrition and Hydration Week 2015 is a collaboration between the Hospital Caterers Association (HCA), National Association of Care Catering (NACC) and Patient Safety First.
Rose water and almond biscuits we donated to the hospital.
We also donated our very popular lemon meringue cake.
If you have not sampled any of our desserts yet…well…you really are missing out.
